Reaction in Mexico City

Although the crowd was small, speeches were made and people were protesting the inauguration of Donald Trump as president of the United States today along Paseo de la Reforma. Fear know no borders.

Good to know Mexico City stands with us in opposition to Don.

I'll make my first visit there this May and it's about the only thing bringing a smile to my face today.

Viva la resistencia! On a bus heading to DC now for the Women's March. Fear, sure, but anger and resolve too.

It's always reassuring to hear other people are on the same page. Thanks for the share from Puerto Vallarta.

The crowds may have been small, but the banners you captured are The Best!

Just returned from my first visit to CDMX, assisted by your guidebook. Witnessed many protest marches during my six day stay in the Centro and one that included an enormous paper mache head of Trump and signs that said we are all united in our opposition to Trump.

Yesterday a museum clerk asked me why Trump was saying such terrible things about the Mexican people. I said that he is a terrible person and that we (Americans) are all ashamed of the things that he says. I a writing to all my friends that we should all come to Mexico and spend money to offset the impact of Trumps filthy statements.
